Sue

This is another of my team mates over on the Bijoux Belles, Sue.  She is our temporary leader, so "The Boss" - she who must be obeyed lol.  However, she isn't bossy she's lovely.  I used Twisted Sketch #47 but I forgot the twist which was clean, anyway, anyhow, so I won't be forwarding them a link, unless I can come up with something.

Laura

I found this page I made a couple of weeks ago and obviously forgot to upload it - or maybe I didn't want to!!  Lulu (my Bijoux Belle team mate) gave us all a sheet of scrapbook paper when we met up on our retreat.  Laura made the most amazing page with hers, so good in fact it's going to be in a magazine.  So I suppose I felt a bit daunted.  Anyway, I've made it so I'll share. I did this as an 8" x 8" because  I'm hoping to make a small album of our time at the retreat.

It looks all wonky on this picture, but everything is straight, honest:)

Twisted Sketches 46 and UKs Weekly Challenge

I used the twisted sketch 46 for this one and the twist was touch, anyway, anyhow.  Well I used my red fluffy stuff - I've no idea what it's called but it is touchy feely!  For UKs weekly challenge we had to use red, white or blue, bling, make your own patterned paper which I did by stamping a feather onto white bazzill and 2, 4 or 9 of something, I used 2 frames to count for this.

Oxford Street

This is the only page I have managed to complete from the cyber crop today (and I actually started it yesterday).  However,  I'm quite pleased with the outcome.
All the papers are October Afternoon.  I used perfect pearls mixed with water to spray the background and stickles to highlight the middles of the flowers.

Maria

This LO was inspired by a challenge over on the cc with UKs called Coventry Street.  It was to do a page about friendship so I chose my "new" "real" friend Maria.  We have been cyber friends for about 2 years but only met in real life in March at our Bijoux Belles Retreat in Olney.
I hope we'll be proper friends for ever now.   I'll see what she says when she has seen this page!  It's not the best photo in the world but I didn't take a decent one and this was the best of a bad lot.  Sorry Maria.
I used the sketch given but I can't tell you about the paper because I've had it years - well before I started scrapping.

Family Time

This is my next layout done from the cyber crop - the class was called The Strand.

Handsome Boy

This is my take on a cyber crop class over on UKs called Angel Islington.

Final Day - Mini book

I have made the book and decorated it but I have yet to put any photos in it.  I'm going to use some of our visit to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park last December, but I need to get them printed smaller.

This layout is from a class over on the cyber crop on UKs.  I'm happy with how it's turned out except where I sprayed over the letters to give me the title it has warped the card a bit.

Sketchy Thursday 4.15 a week late!

Here is last weeks sketch.  I seem to have got behind, but never mind.

Day 9 - This way and that

My penultimate layout from this class.  The papers are American Crafts, the rub ons on the brads are hot off the press, the felt is by Queen & Co.

Day 7 - In your hands and Day 8 - Telling the story

Here are my next 2 pages.  I struggles with day 7 and the hands one a bit and I'm not totally happy with it but I am uploading it for now.
Day 8 was much easier.  There is journalling underneath the photos and the twine is hold the card closed.  It's all about how Chris and I have been together 26 years this month and our continuing life together.

Happy Birthday Debbie and Steph

This is the card I made for my friend Debbie's 50th birthday. I can't take any of the credit for the idea though, it's from a cd called Paper Boutique. I just printed out 28 sheets of layers and cut them out and stuck them down and added flowers, felt, pom poms and glitter!  Each of the four sides has 6 layers at the bottom going up to two at the top.  Time consuming, uneconomical but great fun!

Steph's is just a card but still has 6 layers at the bottom going up to 2 at the top and on both sides.  This one I probably will make again.  I just hope they both like them!

Day 6 - Cherish the moment

Another fun class.  This is a photo of my brother taken before I was born.  I guess he would be about 4 or 5.  He's going to be 60 this summer:D
The cloud paper was given to me by Jo, my team on the Bijoux Belles, the letters are ancient and I don't know where I got them.

Day 5 - Journalling the day

This was another fun page to make even though there were no photos.  I made a felt camera, did some sewing on my lo using the machine and all sorts of random bits I have.  I haven't sewn the buttons on yet, but I will (promise Sue), but I didn't finish this till late last night and I wanted to get it uploaded as today is a busy one for me.  Out for breakfast with Chris to start with.

Day 4 - Easy embellishing

Another great class, I learned how to make a different sort of fabric flower, more paper pleating and doodling.
Adam was 2 when this photo was taken in Nan and Grandad's garden.  He used to love to play with the lawnmower - it was just like Grandad's!
I have used Stampin' up papers, some old Kay & Co paper, I think is McKenna, my new love stamp by Maya Road.

Saturday 17 April 2010

Another card

Adam and Lucy asked me to make them a girly card for their friend Shelley's birthday and this is the outcome.  They wanted girly colours and that was about it.
I used WRMK, Nonsense papers and the stamp is by Rubber Romance I think but there are no details on it so I could be wrong.

Day 3-Creative space

Yesterday's project was to make a notice board or a picture frame.  I needed some cork board for the notice board and I couldn't find mine so I opted for the frame.
This picture of my dogs is a reject - I printed it out and it wasn't very clear and also I think I used cheap inks and it didn't dry properly and I smudged it a bit.  I couldn't bear to throw the picture away so here it is!
All the papers used are Cloud 9 designs and the alphas are American Crafts remarks.  The bone is real!  I think in hindsight I should have varnished this.  The striped heart at the top has been done with the sticky ribbon, lots of small pieces which is something I learned in thursday's class.

Create 10, Day 2 - Scrap a doodle do

Crafty Templates
This class took me right out of my comfort zone, I have never doodled like this on a page before. The most I usually do is faux stitching or lines. However, I am pleased with the result.
Most of the stuff I used to create this layout is old stock and I couldn't tell you where I got it from or who made it. The journalling tag came from a Cleo's Crafts Kit but I don't know who makes them and the spotty buttons are Papermania.  I think the rub on (hug) is Hot off the Press.

The photo was taken by Holly on her iphone when Chris and I made a brief visit to Portsmouth to deliver a bed for her at uni.
This is a very quick card I made for my cousin whose birthday is tomorrow.  The stamp is by Funstamps and is called  Lady and the Tramps.  It's one of my favourite dog stamps.  The papers are from a kit I got from QVC years ago and are Cloud 9 Design.

Create 10 with Crafty Templates

I have joined in with an online class given by http://craftytemplates.blogspot.com/ where we create 10 scrapbook projects in 10 days. Today's class was called "Flowery Fun" - making flowers out of tissue paper or ribbon. Unfortunately my attempts didn't resemble flowers in any shape so I abondoned them and carried on with the rest of the page.
This is me when I was 2 and I entered the fancy dress competition as Mary Mary.
The papers I have used are American Crafts from my Cleo Crafts April kit.

Where has the time gone?

My latest page for the weekly challenge on uk scrappers.  I have used a sketchy thursdays sketch from last week.  I have a letter I wanted to include on the page but couldn't decide where to put it so I haven't at the moment.

21st Birthday Card

At long last I have completed this card.  Holly asked me to make it for her friend 2 weeks ago and I have struggled to get it right.  She wanted images of rugby, Ireland, squirrel monkeys, killer whales, Canada and shamrock.  I will send it on to Holly tomorrow and hope that it meets with her approval.  I still have 4 more cards to make this week so I hope they go together a bit quicker!
She also wanted a glass slide with photos in and this took ages too as I haven't done one in years.

Sunday 11 April 2010

Ally Pally

I had a lovely time at AP today with my friend Debbie.  This is a photo of some of my purchases.  I bought some random sheets of papers which aren't included here, neither is the box of silk matt coated card and there is another bag of stuff which I am not allowed to play with yet as it's for my birthday.

I don't suppose I'll get chance to play with any of it until later in the week.  I am behind with my card making orders and time is marching on.
Holly's friend Sam ordered a card from me last week and here it is.

I had to use pictures from the internet of Ugg boots, a porsche, Leicester Tigers, the country side, money and snowboarding so it's a bit of a mish mash, but Sam was pleased.

Twisted Sketch #44

The twist this week was to use orange, anywhere, any how, so I have continued with the same Basic Grey June Bug papers.  The photos were taken on Mother's Day.
The flower flourish was hand cut and it took hours, I certainly won't be doing that again.

Tea anyone?

Each member of our team on UKS, the Bijoux Belles, has a journalling jar with lots of prompts in it and every month (more often if we feel like it) we pull one out. Mine for this month was use doodling in your layout, from Laura, and here is the result.

This is a close up of the curled paper and the fab spotted flowers/heart which were a bargain in the Hobbycraft Easter sale.

Wednesday 7 April 2010

I have been fiddling about with my blog and for some reason have delete my last post!  I have a lot to learn, that's for sure.

This is following on from the last page, using more June Bug papers as the photos were taken at the same time, on Mother's Day when the children took me out.

Tuesday 6 April 2010

UKs - April week 1 Adore

I didn't have a title for this page so as I'd used a sticker saying "adore" I thought I'd call it that. Mmmm I may have to rethink.

I love these papers - Basic Grey - June Bug.  They are a bit snazzy and I wasn't sure at first, but if you use bits rather than a whole sheet, I think they work well.

Project 12 - March

I have been doing this project since January.  The idea is to document the hightlights of your month with photos and journalling.  So far I am enjoying doing this and I reckon it will be good to look back on in the coming months/years.

I have used some papers I don't really like - they are from Hot off the Press, but they do the job and I am trying to use some of my mountain of stash!

Gruesome Twosome

I made this layout for the monthly challenge over on UK Scrappers. We had to scrap a page of us acting/looking silly and it's a rare occasion when someone takes a picture of me looking silly. I found this one so I think it fits the bill.
I made the lolipop flowers with my new cuttlebug die.  I have wanted this one for ages and finally succumbed.

Sunday 4 April 2010

Easter goodness

Here are some fairy cakes I made for Easter.  Unfortunately, they didn't last long but were yummy:)

Saturday 3 April 2010

Sketchy Thursdays 3.25

Better late than never.  I'm not keen on this page, the photos are very green so I tried to use papers to tone them down a bit.

Friday 2 April 2010

Twisted Sketch #43

This is my interpretation of the sketch - the twist was to use pattern, anyway, anyhow so I have used 2 different patterned papers.

The photos were taken in 1997 I think, but I need to check this before I date it properly. We had the most amazing holiday on this tiny island in the Channel Isles and in fact went back the following year with parents in law.
